Hi, I’m Clare—founder of Story & Root.
I work with women-owned and community-rooted businesses who want their marketing to feel more like an extension of who they are, not a performance they have to keep up. Story & Root exists at the intersection of strategy and storytelling: the place where clarity meets consistency, and where your message is built to last—not just trend.
I come to marketing through lived experience. Alongside running Story & Root, I’m also a yoga teacher, personal trainer, and nutrition coach. For nearly a decade, I’ve built, marketed, and sustained my own wellness businesses while supporting others in doing the same. That background shapes how I work: I care deeply about systems that are sustainable, messaging that’s honest, and marketing that supports real humans with real lives.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to a spirited preschooler and an infant, which means I understand firsthand the limits of time, energy, and attention. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me reading fantasy novels, gardening, crafting something by hand, or outside soaking up fresh air—activities that remind me why slower, more intentional work matters.
At Story & Root, I don’t just help you “show up online.” I help you understand who you’re speaking to, why your work matters, and how to communicate that clearly across social media, email, and your broader brand presence. My goal is simple: to help you grow in a way that feels rooted, aligned, and genuinely yours.
